Shinsegae Square, the colossal LED signage adorning the exterior of the Shinsegae Department Store Main Branch, transcends the function of a mere digital billboard to become a digital canvas that redefines Seoul’s urban landscape. The one-minute media work Entanglement presented here is a bold expansion of the narrative originally staged within the restrained environment of a museum, now reimagined for the grand scale of the metropolis.

 

This iteration is based on "Part 4: Entanglement," the climactic finale of the original four-part series. The intimate aesthetics of "entanglement," once articulated through the physical intersection of two screens in a museum, have been transformed into a new artistic variation that resonates with the overwhelming visual energy of central Myeong-dong. Amidst the transit of tens of thousands of pedestrians, the intricate digital textures and organic movements of the original work are reconstructed to synchronize with the city’s pulse, offering a surreal moment of immersion within the fabric of daily life.
