Rather than using hand held devices to generate in-app experiences alone, I would like to use the plinth’s inside and outside surfaces as an immersive display, a membrane that augment visitors’ experience in a seamless way. The motion sensing and tracking technologies will interact the images on the surfaces. If it’s possible, the plinth can be built with translucent material so that the projected images from inside can be seen both inside and outside to enhance perceptual ambiguities. Otherwise, the interactive imageries from the inside can be projected on the exterior in sync. The sense of orientation will be challenged. At this stage, I cannot provide specific information of what type of images will be generated. However, I attempt to use site-related dataset as an input, and the visitors can transform it in a visual way.
