Dr Yiyun Kang is the founder-director of Experience Design Lab (XD LAB).
Located at the Industrial Design Department of Engineering School in KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology), XD LAb aims to conduct research and practice at the intersection of art, design and technology.
XD Lab explores multi-sensorial, tech-aided environments in extended realities (XR) to investigate immersive storytelling.
MISSION
We seek a genuine convergence of art and technology.
We believe that truly immersive content and technology can transform how we live and interact with the world, and it is our mission to ensure that they are used for the betterment of society.
We are heavily practice-based.
Our vision is to develop innovative and immersive content that promotes informative and affective communication through experience design research.
XD Lab welcomes a wide range of artists, designers, engineers, developers and researchers interested in creativity and criticality.
